Great point. I think there is a fear among younger athletes that focusing on anything other than training and racing would come off as being "not dedicated." With that said, I think brands and teams have to realize that self promotion is part of the game now.
With more professional teams entering gravel, we might see a day where self promotion isn't as relevant.
Perhaps another relevant question is who will be the first U23 rider to start their own “Cooldown” / “With Pace”?
